Icefang makes her way towards RiverClan...

Skulker and Boneclaw were first to rush into the Elder's den. Almost instantly two elders lept at them and with swift movements the two skilled BloodClan warriors pierced their claws into the elder's hearts with reinforced claws killing both of them leaving their limp bodies lying on the ground. Within seconds seven dead elders lay at the feet of the two warriors. "What now?" Boneclaw mewed questioningly. "Now we go see if IceFang needs help with ShadowStar." Skulker mewed, streaking out of the den followed by BoneClaw as they crossed towards the Leader's den striking down warriors as they went. When they arrived they saw they scarely saw the tunnel and followed SnowClan scent into it. When they lept out they found themselves side by side with IceFang staring at the RiverClan leader who was protecting kits.

IceFang smelled the cats before she saw them. "No." she hissed firmly, raising her hackles and without moving her head to look at them. "This is my fight." she and ShadowStar had long known each other, and had frequently fought over a chunk of no-man's land in the north when ShadowStar wandered a lot. They had become bitter enemies and Shadow was one of the only ones who knew about the quest IceFang and SnowStar were on.

ShadowStar stood up and shoved the kits to the back of the den. She unsheathed her claws, bared her fangs, and raised her hackles, lashing her tail. "No-one...NO-ONE invades my Clan." she spat at the three intruders. She looked straight at Skulker and Vicefang with her piercing oddly-coloured eyes before looking at IceFang. "We'll take this fight into the main Leader's Den." she hissed, stepping forward so the others would have to step back into the tunnel.

IceFang looked at the other two. "Go on." she meowed to her allies. The four cats padded into the larger leader's den, seemingly under a truce. As soon as they were all inside the half-underground cavern, IceFang twisted round and leapt at ShadowFang, claws unsheathed and long fangs bared.

ShadowStar arched her back and hissed, dodging sharply to the side. As soon as her paws touched the ground she whirled round and grabbed hold of IceFang's haunches with her front claws. She dug her long fangs deep into IceFang's hindquarters, feeling blood trickle down the leg beside her mouth. She scrabbled at the SnowClan cat's back legs with her front claws when she had secured a strong grip on her body with the teeth.

IceFang kicked wildly, her paws colliding with ShadowStar's chest. The dark-pelted cat let go and both cats leapt for each other, head-on.

OOC: IceFang won't die here, and someone else will have to take over the fight. It could be a SnowClan or BloodClan cat. THEY WILL DIE IF THEY TAKE OVER ICEFANG'S FIGHT. ONLY PICK A CAT WHO YOU DON'T MIND KILLING OFF!!

ok, in the fight between shadowstar and another cat, the other one has to die. Icefang needs to live on this one because she's going to fight firefur in shadowclan after this.

((ooo, well BloodClan has lost enough cats. I can IceClan. xD))

Both cats missed and skidded on the ground, whirling round to face each other. At this point SnowStar and Bluepelt arrived, crouching in the mouth of the den. Icefang, nearest them, took a step back. ShadowStar leapt forward and scratched the icy-white she-cat with razor-sharp claws.

Icefang reared backwards and smacked right into Bluepelt, who yowled in frustration. Icefang was bigger than him and quite heavy. SnowStar, seeing this, snarled and jumped forth, taking his place on the fighting line where IceFang had stood. She hissed at him but she shot her a cold glare and she fell quiet and just watched while Bluepelt crawled out from underneath her and licked her wounds.

SnowStar faced ShadowStar and burst forward, unsheathing his claws and raking Shadow's back as she dodged to the side. She ducked and stabbed her claws into the tomcat's belly as he was overhead, bringing him down with a crash. There was nothing but anger in the tomcat's face, and ShadowStar flashed a triumphant look at IceFang as she bent her head to tear out the white cat's throat while he helplessly scrabbled at her muscular forearms with his sharp claws...

ViceFang had entered the area and saw that ShadowStar was about to kill SnowStar, he leapt onto the RiverClan leader bowling her over with his weight away from SnowStar before leaping off to join the surrounding cats once again.

ShadowStar was taken by surprise by the large tomcat, and skidded on the floor. She quickly got up and scanned the cats before her. SnowStar had got up and was standing, lashing his tail fiercely.

"Try me, then!" the white tomcat yelled, rage dominating his voice. He flexed his claws readily and pounced.

ShadowStar ducked and kicked his belly with her back feet, slamming him into a wall. Before he had time to get up, she pounced and landed on him. Then, it was over.

ShadowStar raised her head, blood dripping down her long fangs and down her chin. Rage clouded her eyes and she blinked it away along with blood that had splattered her face. She limped forward, keeping a steady gaze on IceFang. Suddenly she feinted, making as if to jump for the white she-cat.

IceFang stepped backwards when Shadow pretended to attack. Reluctantly, she started to turn away. “Come on. Let's retreat for now.” she muttered to the cats beside her. They all trotted slowly out of the den, to meet the sea of RiverClan warriors once again. They started to turn on them, but ShadowStar stood at the entrance to her den.

“These intruders are leaving. Let them leave and they will not attack you.” ShadowStar emphasized the word 'not', casting a ferocious glare at IceFang.

The rest of the BloodClan and SnowClan cats slithered away from their fights and joined IceFang and the others. At the exit to the camp they were met by SilverClaw and DawnFur, and all the cats departed.

ShadowStar sighed. She licked her wounds and looked around. Luckily, not many cats were dead. But only 1 of 8 elders had survived and only 2 kits apart from the ones in her den had lived. One apprentice had died, and two warriors. She smiled gratefully, thanking StarClan that most of the clan were all right. Going back into her den, she dragged out the dead body of SnowStar and hauled it to the edge of her camp. A young warrior, ThornFang, wandered up to her.

“This is SnowClan's leader.” she announced, and her cats reacted quietly. ThornFang edged closer.

“Are you sure he's dead?” he asked, “Doesn't he have Nine Lives like you and WhiteStar, RedStar and MossStar?”

ShadowStar shook her head. “SnowClan cats are not bound to StarClan in the same way we are. They have only one life each.” she left the body where it was for now and climbed atop the announcement rock. She had to name the dead.

"Cats of RiverClan, be silent while we send several of our brave warriors on their way to StarClan." the clan cats below her bowed their heads, the last elder and a Queen weeping bitterly for their losses. "StarClan, hear me. We send to you, apprentice CrimsonPaw, warriors SilverFur and DuskFang, kits BrackenKit, FallowKit, and StarKit, and elders GingerFoot, ScarTail, RavenFin, NightPelt, GoldenEye, CinderFang, and YellowClaw. Please treat them kindly, and with the honour and respect they deserved in life."

ShadowStar finished and jumped off. "Rainheart." she said to the she-cat, "You'll be in charge while I'm gone." she disappeared into the reeds and out of sight.
