Punishment

Hawkfire entered the elders den. Whitestar had punished him to take care of the elders, and now he had to do whatever the elders wanted for the rest of the day. "This is gonna be such a drag." He thought. Hawkfire began the day by picking ticks off the elders' backs.

Goldflare padded into the Elder's den. "I'll help you if you want" He mewed. He went over to one of the sleeping elders and started to pick the ticks off of their backs.
He noticed that the elder began to wake up. "It's ok, I'm helping Hawkfire" he mewed quietly in the elder's ear.

Hawkfire watched as the golden cat entered the den. "Well, I guess you could help, but if Whitestar comes in, he might not be that happy. And remember...I owe you one." Hawkfire continued his work, grateful of the help from a cat he had barely even seen before.

Goldflare nodded. He knew that the cat had'nt seen him before. "I'm Goldflare, by the way".
"It's nice to meet you" He mewed. "I wonder when the next Gathering will be".
He picked a tick from the elder's ear. The elder grumbled, "Sorry!" He mewed in shock.
