Wolfclaw skidded to a stop in the open moorland. The scent of the foxes was all around here. "Where are they?" Wolfclaw murmured to himself. Suddenly, from behind a boulder, the bigger of the two foxes leaped out at him. Wolfclaw rolled out of the way, and sliced open the fox's nose. The other one then decided to jump at him from behind. Wolfclaw turned to meet it with a screech. The fox lunged for his front left leg, but Wolfclaw jumped out of the way and landed on top of the fox. He sank his claws in and held on as the fox tried to shake him off. Eventually the shaking stopped and the fox stood still, exhausted. Wolfclaw jumped off, and clawed it in the face so it would retreat. The fox ran away and the other fox decided to rejoin the battle. "Oh, mousedung! I forgot about the other one!" Wolfclaw exclaimed. The fox grabbed his back leg and flung Wolfclaw. He hit the ground with a heavy thud. Getting up slowly, Wolfclaw said,"Alright, Foxy, no more Mr. Nice Cat." The fox charged, but Wolfclaw leaped out of the way and grabbed the fox's back leg. The fox screeched in pain, but wouldn't give in. Through his mouthful of fur, Wolfclaw said,"Come on. Give up!." Eventually the fox decided he had enough and left. "I better get back and have Grayfoot look at this leg," Wolfclaw decided. He began to slowly limp back to camp.
